The debate over the use of drugs in Bollywood has reached the Parliament as well. While the Narcotics Control Bureau investigates the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, many fingers have been pointed out at Bollywood off late alleging a possible drug nexus going on. In today’s monsoon session of Parliament, Jaya Bachchan called out actor and Lok Sabha member, Ravi Kishan for his remarks about the use of drugs in Bollywood which he made in the parliament. On Twitter, Anubhav Sinha re-tweeted a video reported by Times Now from today’s monsoon parliament session. The filmmaker shared the video featuring Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan slamming actor and Lok Sabha member Ravi Kishan and Kangana and spoke in support of Bollywood. He tweeted, “जया जी को सादर प्रणाम भेजता हूँ। जिनको पता नहीं वो देख लें। रीढ़ की हड्डी ऐसी दिखती है।”
Reacting to Anubhav Sinha’s tweet, Sonam Kapoor replied and shared the video on her official Twitter handle. The Zoya Factor actress re-tweeted, “I want to be her when I grow up..” Watching Jaya Bachchan express her opinions and putting her views forward during the monsoon session of Parliament, Sonam Kapoor said that she wants to be just like the veteran actor when she grows up.

Meanwhile, during the Monsoon session of Parliament, as reported by ANI, Jaya Bachchan was quoted saying, “Just because there are some people, you can’t tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame." The Samajwadi Party MP stated that it is a conspiracy to defame the Hindi film industry and said that people in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. She also mentioned how people who made their names in the industry have called it a ‘gutter’ and expressed her disagreement over it, hoping that the government takes action against the use of such kind of language.
